Having spent a magical summer weekend at Stable Oak, we knew we had to return to experience its charm during the winter months—and it did not disappoint. If anything, the colder season brought a whole new level of coziness and magic to this idyllic Kentish retreat.
The accommodations were as inviting as we remembered, with the added bonus of a wood-burning stove that became the centerpiece of our winter stay. Curling up by the fire with a warm drink and a good book was the epitome of comfort. Thoughtful winter touches, like extra-soft blankets and fairy lights, made the space
feel even more enchanting.
The surrounding countryside transformed into a frosty wonderland, perfect for brisk winter walks. The trails we’d wandered in summer had a completely different beauty with bare trees, crisp air, and frost crunching underfoot. We also took the opportunity to explore a nearby village, where cozy pubs offered hearty meals and a warm atmosphere.
One of our favorite moments was stepping into the outdoor hot tub after a day of exploring. Watching the steam rise into the cold night air as we soaked beneath a canopy of stars was an unforgettable experience. Stable Oak in winter has a way of making you feel like you’re in your own little world.
It was wonderful to rediscover Stable Oak in a new season, and it’s clear that this spot is perfect all year round. Whether you’re savoring sunny summer days or basking in the warmth of winter by the fire, Stable Oak provides the ultimate retreat.
