We are so lucky to have many, MANY festivals in the UK this summer! The last addition to the list comes from Cardiff with Blackweir! And we can't wait to attend!
Djo, has been announced as the special guest supporting Noah Kahan at his headlining show in Cardiff’s Blackweir on Friday, June 27.
The two-time GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter will bring his signature sound to the Welsh capital as part of his UK and Ireland tour, having already sold out major outdoor shows at Dublin’s Marlay Park and London’s Hyde Park.
Best known for his breakout role as Steve Harrington in Stranger Things and recent appearance in Fargo, Joe Keery has also built a growing fanbase with his psychedelic-tinged music project Djo. His performance in Cardiff will come just days after the release of his third album, The Crux, dropping April 4.
The Crux, co-produced by Keery and long-time collaborator Adam Thein, showcases lush instrumentation with nostalgic nods to late '60s and '70s pop. The record explores themes of loss, longing, wit, and gratitude.
Tickets for the Cardiff show are on sale now at BlackweirLive.com. For every ticket sold, £1 will be donated to The Busyhead Project, Noah Kahan’s nonprofit dedicated to mental health awareness and fighting stigma through accessible resources and education.
The Blackweir series is a new addition to Cardiff’s live music scene, brought to life by a partnership between DEPOT Live and UK promoters Cuffe and Taylor.
Now, tell us! Who are you excited to see?
